Filtermist’s Italian distributor, Cagelli Distribuzione, has been selling high efficiency afterfilters and an F Monitor 2 with every Filtermist unit it sells since 2010. We spoke to Managing Director, Giovanna Cagelli, to find out more.

Filtermist: Why did you introduce high efficiency afterfilters in the Italian market?

Giovanna: We introduced the high efficiency afterfiter as standard to offer customers a complete and ready to use package which provides clean air at the best possible level. We also add the F Monitor 2 as part of the package to help customers monitor the efficiency of the Filtermist unit. Competitors offer a HEPA grade filter as an optional extra - we are a safer solution from the very beginning.

Filtermist: How did you introduce this concept to the market?

Giovanna: We set a very interesting price first. Basically, the difference to buy the unit only is not so convenient compared with buying the package. The retrofitting is much more expensive. So pricewise it is convenient, and at that price we can provide the cleanest air available with a filter made from H13 rated material.

Filtermist: Did you experience any issues convincing customers that this is a good option for them?      

Giovanna: No, the customers like it - no one complained. They recognise that they are getting cleaner air for a competitive price.

Filtermist: What advantages does selling a package offer to Cagelli?

Giovanna: We can sell more aftermarket products, or at least we have the F Monitor 2 helping us to show they need to maintain the unit and keep it clean to ensure performance is maintained. This gives the machine operator a tool to remind the business owner that they need to undertake regular maintenance. In our experience, the high efficiency filter works really fine on emulsion, it lasts a long time.
